Acquiring for the Future

Looking to Buy, Hold, & Grow

Dyson Ventures was founded by Fred Dyson in 2020 with the goal of acquiring small businesses to grow. Prior to this, he had completed a major turnaround of a family-held logistics company and had spent some time working in private equity in operations of multiple startups in various stages of growth. Lead by an experienced entrepreneur, investor and operator, Dyson Ventures is actively pursuing the acquisition of an established small business between $500,000 and $1,250,000 in annual EBTIDA. Prior experience in chemical and petrochemical logistics, as well as heavy equipment management, repair, and manufacturing guides the investment strategy.

Why Buy instead of Start New?

It takes a certain kind of person to take something from $0 to $1,000,000. But it takes a different mindset, attitude, and skills to take that same company from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. That is where Dyson Ventures comes in. They are ready to take companies to the next level of their evolution. Fred's skillset, education, and experience are attuned to taking something that works and making it better. He excels at improving systems and finding efficiencies.

What About My People?

One of the biggest concerns I hear about from Sellers is their concern for their employees post-sale. Dyson Ventures isn't looking for a quick-turn on investment. The goal is to acquire businesses to hold and operate for at least 10 years as part of a long-term portfolio strategy. Employees are key driver of value in any small business acquisition and their welbeing is part of any good retention strategy.

Where are you looking to Acquire?

I am open to anywhere that allows me to grow a business and raise my family. I typically avoid high tax/HCOL areas, but I am open to relocation to anywhere that allows me the right opportunity
